⚠️ We've moved!

Hi there!

To reduce project dependency on 3rd party paid services the StackStorm TSC has decided to move the Q/A from this forum to Github Discussions. This will make user experience better integrated with the native Github flow, as well as the questions closer to the community where they can provide answers.

How to change default directory from /opt/stackstorm to custom dir?

Hello All,

I am trying to configure one of our application servers to use stackstorm. As /opt is protected by root privileges and I don’t want to chmod. Can I change the directory to a custom one?

Thanks and Regards,
Nihar

Not sure what the environment you have, but installing the packages will handle all the required permissions as the installer should be ran by root anyway as it also configures and enables st2 services.
