⚠️ We've moved!

Hi there!

To reduce project dependency on 3rd party paid services the StackStorm TSC has decided to move the Q/A from this forum to Github Discussions. This will make user experience better integrated with the native Github flow, as well as the questions closer to the community where they can provide answers.

Use 🔗 Github Discussions to ask your questions.

Can we use stackstorm to run commands on remote host behind a NAT?

hi,

in our environment where we want to use stackstorm to automate remediation steps based on triggers/emails/SNS . Most of our infrastructure is internal to our organization. we want to deploy stackstorm in AWS and use it to automate our workflow. is it possible? if yes any guidance will be good.

Thanks.

Hi @csfire09. The best approach here would be to have a Site-to-Site VPN connection back to your internal network from your AWS VPC. ST2 doesn’t support a remote agent that can check in with the cloud at this time.

THanks Punkrokk for reply. yeah we are looking into directconnect and VPN. hopefully we can start prod deployment next month…
